We are building
a clubhouse.
For 150 years, Konglungen has had no shelter from the rain and no toilet on site. In 2025, the members are changing that — together.
Built by members,
for everyone
The club has always operated on a shoestring. So when we decided to build, we did what Norwegians do best: dugnad. Materials sourced from Finn.no — free or heavily discounted. Old wardrobes dismantled and repurposed as walls. OSB panels, insulation, sliding doors, windows and paint — collected from across Viken by club members.
The result will be a proper clubhouse with a toilet, changing area and lounge — somewhere to sit when the rain comes in, have a coffee, and watch a match. Simple, honest, and built with our own hands.
The court sits along one of Asker's most-used walking paths on Løkeneshalvøya. On weekends, hundreds of people pass by. The clubhouse will be visible to all of them.
A proper HC-adapted toilet (Separett WC) with handwashing, soap, paper towels and regular hygiene logging. Sliding door from the terrace. HC rails and dimensions throughout.
A simple, functional changing room with bench seating and wall hooks — so you can arrive in street clothes and leave ready to play.
A round table, sofa and armchairs. An information board. Somewhere to sit when the rain comes in, watch a match from shelter, and feel like you belong to a real club.
Power extended from the garage. Water from the court tap. A small fridge for drinks — purchased via Vipps.
6×5 m footprint on 14 concrete pillars. Timber frame, insulated walls, corrugated metal roof. Built entirely by members across spring weekends — no contractors.
On the court grounds at Løkenesveien 56, Vettre. Beside Norway's oldest tennis court — visible from the walking path used by hundreds every weekend.
