Court Rules

Respect the clay

A clay court does not stay beautiful by accident. These are not ceremonial details. They are the practical habits that keep the surface playable for everyone.

Shoes

Use shoes suitable for clay courts, with soft soles and without deep, aggressive profiles.

Water the Court

Water the court for at least 5 minutes after play. Please stop playing 5 minutes before the hour ends so there is time to do this properly.

Brush the Court

Brush the surface and the lines after use. Leave the court in good condition for the next players.

Keep It Tidy

Take your rubbish with you and leave the area around the court clean and calm.

Be Considerate

Avoid loud shouting and swearing. We have neighbours, and the atmosphere around the court matters too.

Private Coaching

Private coaching is not allowed during prime time, 17–20, without agreement with the board.

About Dugnad — Club Work Day

Dugnad is a Norwegian tradition of collective volunteer work. At Konglungen it means helping prepare and maintain the court, typically 2–4 hours, 3–4 times a season. Active members and families who attend receive 500 NOK back as MATCHi playing credit. Juniors receive 150 NOK back, which is the full membership fee. It is one of the easiest ways to meet fellow members and keep the court in top condition.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Most practical questions at Konglungen have simple answers. Here are the ones that come up most often.

Can I bring a guest?
Yes. Guests are always welcome at no extra charge. Just book the court yourself and bring whoever you like.
Is it really free for children under 12?
Yes. Children 0–12 get free membership and free play during off-peak hours, weekdays 11–16, weekends 12–14 and 21–23. Outside those hours the rate is 100 NOK per hour.
Do I need my own racket?
No. Rackets and balls are available on court for all players.
How far in advance can I book?
Drop-in players can book up to 48 hours in advance. Active members get priority access up to 2 weeks ahead.
What if it rains?
French red clay drains well. In many cases the court is playable within about 1 hour of light rain. Heavy or prolonged rain may delay play. If conditions are unplayable, MATCHi handles refunds automatically.
Is there a clubhouse?
Yes, a proper clubhouse is being built with toilet, changing space and a seating area. The project is member-driven and largely built from donated and reclaimed materials. Until it opens fully, there are toilets on site and free parking. Read more at konglungentk.no/klubbhus.
Still Unsure?

Better one small question than one muddy misunderstanding

If something is unclear about the court, the weather, the booking rules or access, get in touch before you head down to Vettre.
